TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Contracting Authorities (CAs) will carry out construction projects in the coming years in which activities involving hazardous substances (e.g. asbestos, KMF, PCB, heavy metals, etc.) will be carried out on a regular basis and, subsequently, the disposal of (hazardous) waste will be carried out. This applies, for example, to remediation and modernisation measures in existing buildings, conversion measures, as well as demolition and new-build projects. The construction projects will be carried out partly by commissioning general contractors and partly by awarding contracts separately for the trades involved. In addition, the CA purchases various properties in which activities involving hazardous substances may also arise. To ensure expert, proper, cost-effective and timely handling of hazardous substances and (hazardous) waste, the CA carries out hazardous substance management. As the CA itself does not have sufficient professional qualifications required for such hazardous substance management, the hazardous substance management is to be carried out by external qualified service providers.
