TENDER DESCRIPTION

The construction project involves a prison facility protected as a historic monument, built around 1900. As part of the completion of a new build in 2010 on the site of JVA Wittlich, this building was taken out of service. Due to the increased current demand for prison places, the building is to be renovated and revitalized again. The technical commissioning management and technical monitoring will accompany the building services and safety engineering systems for buildings 01 (Old Men’s Facility, existing building), 02 (New gatehouse building, partly new build) and 04 (New visitor center, new build) through all project phases from LPH 3 to LPH 9. The construction costs currently amount to approximately (status 04.09.2025): Old Men’s Facility 01 – 60.00 million EUR Gatehouse building 02 – 1.94 million EUR Visitor center 04 – 9.80 million EUR The buildings are currently located within the walled security area. To ensure an unproblematic access to the construction site, the building site area is separated from the rest of the property by constructing an additional wall and is removed from the security area.
