TENDER DESCRIPTION

For the expected visitor flows after the opening of the Abbey Church, a modern, barrier-free accessible toilet facility is to be created, for which the unused rooms of the former student fraternity on the ground floor of the Gate Wing are considered a particularly suitable location due to their central position in the access area of the monastery complex. For the planned new visitor center "Monastery Michaelsberg" a central entrance is created, which is housed in the ground floor of the Gate Wing and thus lies directly in the access area to the monastery complex. Through a spacious, round-arched gate in the middle of the Gate Wing, the visitor first enters an anteroom, from which the new public toilet facility can be reached barrier-free on the right. An automatic glass sliding door system, placed behind the gate system, serves for climatic separation. By restoring a former, currently bricked-up passage in the northern corridor wall, the connection to the small vaulted hall adjacent to the north, which is three bays wide and three naves deep, and formerly served as a lounge for the student fraternity, is achieved.
