TENDER DESCRIPTION

The listed Gothic St. Nicholas Cathedral in Stendal (construction start date approx. 1420) is a high-quality testimony of Hanseatic Northern German brick architecture, for which the large stock of original lead-glass windows is characteristic as an outstanding feature. In the planned measure (3rd construction phase/BA), continuation of the moisture reduction is provided in the area of the nave outer walls and in the floor area of the nave and in parts of the south transept. For this purpose, earthworks are to be carried out with archaeological supervision in the interior and on the façade. The scope of services also includes demolition and excavation work inside the building, including careful demolition with securing of monastery-format bricks from the historic floor covering. The vertical barrier is planned with bentonite; the horizontal barrier is created by installing a glass-gravel layer in the floor build-up. In parallel, electrical installation work is carried out. All work must be dust-free and carried out using electrically driven vehicles that enter via a door access with approx. 1.45 m usable width. Existing paving must be protected.
