TENDER DESCRIPTION

The construction project comprises alteration and renovation works to be carried out on the Säviä fish harbour building in Pielavesi to the extent set out in the tender documents and plans. The general contractor acts as the main contractor for the site and as the principal contractor referred to in section 4 of subsection 2 of the Government Decree on safety at construction work (205/2009). The contractor’s obligations include the main performance obligations under section 1 of YSE 1998 and the ancillary obligations under section 2 of YSE 1998. In addition to the site management obligations, the total contract includes all construction, HVAC (LVI) and electrical engineering works carried out in accordance with the plans referred to in the document list, brought to complete readiness, and all necessary site services. The general contractor acts at the construction site as the principal contractor responsible for safety in construction work, taking care of and ensuring that the obligations concerning construction by the principal contractor and other matters referred to in Government Decree No 205/2009 are taken into account.
