TENDER DESCRIPTION
Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin intends to construct a forward-looking new building for the Deutsche Herzzentrum der Charité (DHZC) in the south-western area of the Virchow-Klinikum campus (CVK). In the planned new building, among other things, the Central Sterile Supply (ZSVA) and the Central Emergency Department (ZNA) will be housed, and a helipad will be constructed on the building’s roof. The total usable floor area for the DHZC new building is approx. 29,800 m², with a gross floor area of approx. 75,600 m² and a gross volume of approx. 355,000 m³. It is planned to construct the new building as a high-rise structure with 16 above-ground storeys and 2 below-ground storeys. For the building, sustainability certification according to the system of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) is targeted at the “Gold” level. Pursuant to the VdS-2108 guideline, a foam extinguishing system is planned for fire-fighting of the helipad on the 17th floor. The area of the helipad is approx. 893 m².
