TENDER DESCRIPTION
The Emscher-Mündung wastewater treatment plant (KLEM), operated by the Emscher Cooperative and Lippe Association (EGLV), treats the wastewater of a partial catchment area around the former surface channel Emscher. Today, the treatment plant (TP) is supplied via a wastewater channel with upstream pumping stations. It treats the wastewater of approx. 1,000,000 inhabitants and is thus one of the largest plants in NRW. The wastewater to be treated consists of both domestic wastewater and industrial wastewater from the mining-influenced Ruhr area. The Emscher Cooperative plans the complete new construction of the partly already 50 years in operation sludge treatment facility at the Emscher-Mündung treatment plant, the renovation of the three digesters, and their conversion to series operation. As a service duct between the sludge treatment and the inflow, the currently wastewater-carrying mouth-profile channel will be repurposed and expanded by a branch towards digestion. Furthermore, the pumping station for pumping the digested sludge towards the Bottrop treatment plant will be newly constructed, from where two new pressure pipes (each 0.65 km) will be connected at the connection…
