TENDER DESCRIPTION

1. Subject of the work to be procured: As part of the refurbishment of the Nürnberg crematorium, Westfriedhof, it is necessary to expand the technical building structurally. In this process, the existing building of the crematorium will be renovated and converted, and expanded with the same eaves height. The extension is carried out in the western direction so as to be as far away as possible from the historic listed existing building components. This invitation to tender covers steel structure work. An important boundary condition to be specified is that the execution of the project is divided into a total of five construction phases and that the conversion/refurbishment and extension must be carried out DURING ONGOING OPERATION. The measure comprises construction work in sections, which in part have complex interfaces with the technical equipment and with the plant construction for the cremation facilities. A large part of the trades and scope of services is repeated across the individual construction phases.
