TENDER DESCRIPTION

The construction project is located in the west of the city of Landsberg on Platanenstrasse. The existing school centre comprises two school types: a secondary modern school (Realschule) and a grammar school (Gymnasium). The school centre is run by the Landsberg am Lech district authority (Landkreis Landsberg am Lech) and currently has around 1,800 students. In the first construction phase, a new building is to be erected east of the grammar school and, together with the existing building and the gymnasium, will form a new landscaped inner courtyard. The connection to the existing building will be provided by a ground-floor connecting structure. The new building will feature a tiered seating installation on the ground floor. Above this, a space open up to the roof will be created. On the upper floors, the science areas of the grammar school will be located. The extension will be constructed as a reinforced concrete frame structure. The projecting balconies serve as escape routes and also as an instruction area extended to the open air.
