TENDER DESCRIPTION

The construction project is located in the west of the city of Landsberg on Platanenstrasse. The existing school centre comprises two types of school: a secondary school and a grammar school. The school centre is operated by the district of Landsberg am Lech and currently has about 1,800 students. In the first construction phase, a new building is planned to the east of the grammar school and, together with the existing building and the gymnasium, forms a new landscaped inner courtyard. The connection to the existing building is provided by a ground-floor connecting building. The new building will receive, at ground-floor level, a tiered seating system. Above this, an open-plan space extends up to the roof. On the upper floors, the science facilities for the grammar school are created. The extension will be constructed as a reinforced concrete frame structure. The projecting balconies serve as escape routes as well as an instruction area extended out into the open.
