TENDER DESCRIPTION

The refurbishment of all attic areas is divided into 6 construction sections. The protective measures for cultural property specified in the tender relate to the construction sections Northern Corps de Logis (4th construction phase) and Heinrich wing (5th construction phase). Due to various and highly toxic wood preservatives (PCP, DDT), the attic space is highly to very highly contaminated. The working areas in the interior rooms of the Northern Corps de Logis and the Heinrich wing are considered not contaminated. The protective measures for the cultural property, such as wall, ceiling and vault areas with plasterwork and woodcarvings, chimneys, windows and doors, include all protective measures in the form of covering work using suitable fleece, partly with wood-based panels, enclosures using fleece and armored cardboard, padding and supports to protect against dust and mechanical damage during the renovation work on the roof.
