TENDER DESCRIPTION
The planned new acquisition concerns a Next Generation High-Throughput Sequencer Device for human genome sequencing ("Sequencer Device"). Such a device is needed to ensure modern diagnostics of genetic diseases in Tyrol and Austria, to meet the increasing demands in the research of rare genetic diseases, and to enable participation in national and international research projects, for example in the field of human genome research. The sequencer device should be capable of performing short-read genome analyses with a read length of about 70 to 150 nucleotides in a short time and with a high sample throughput.
