Servei d’anàlisi toxicològic del mussol

TENDER DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this contract is the toxicological analysis of blood and feather samples of the Pyrenean owl collected during the 2026 capture and ringing. This toxicological study forms part of the health monitoring of the species. Health monitoring in wildlife is considered critical for the conservation of vulnerable protected species, in order to diagnose the environmental factors that could become potential causes of their decline. In addition, non-migratory species adapted to subalpine forests, as in the case of the Pyrenean owl, represent species that are highly sensitive to changes in their environment. Therefore, as sentinel species, their study is particularly important, since it is not only critical for informing management and conservation programmes for the species itself, but also for its ecosystem and for the species that coexist with them, from a One Health perspective.
