TENDER DESCRIPTION

The county road section DJ 792C km 77+626 – 81+228 is classified as a road with a gravel road surface and is in a poor technical condition. The road section shows degradations specific to gravel roads in an advanced stage of wear, namely: the breakdown and loss of the stone material from the wearing course; the appearance of ruts and longitudinal and transverse unevenness/low spots; areas with settlements and local deformations; potholes and zones with water accumulation; deterioration of the shoulders; clogging or the absence of stormwater drainage systems; increased dust generation during dry periods and the formation of mud during periods with precipitation; exhaustion of load-bearing capacity and uniformity of the driving surface. The existing technical condition significantly affects traffic circulation conditions and road safety, leading to:  reduction of travel speed;  increased travel times;  discomfort for road users;  increased operating costs of vehicles;  difficulties in carrying out traffic under unfavorable weather conditions;  affecting road connectivity to the Romanian-Hungarian border area.
