TENDER DESCRIPTION

The county road sector DJ 792C km 77+626 – 81+228 is classified as a road with paved (crushed-stone) road surfacing and is in a poor technical condition. The road sector shows typical deterioration of unpaved/crushed-stone roads in an advanced stage of wear, namely: the disintegration and loss of the crushed material from the wearing course; the appearance of ruts and longitudinal and transverse unevenness/irregularities; areas with settlement and local deformations; potholes and areas with water accumulation; deterioration of the shoulders; clogging of or lack of rainwater drainage systems; increased dust generation during dry periods and the formation of mud during periods with precipitation; exhaustion of the load-bearing capacity and of the uniformity of the carriageway surface. The existing technical condition significantly affects traffic conditions and road safety, leading to:  reducing driving speeds;  increasing travel times;  discomfort for road users;  increasing the operating costs of vehicles;  difficulties in carrying out traffic under unfavorable weather conditions;  affecting road connectivity to the Romanian-Hungarian border area.
