TENDER DESCRIPTION

The actions planned in the tender are necessary as a result of the approval of the second cycle Flood Risk Management Plans (FRMP) (2022-2027) within the scope of the Organization through Royal Decree 26/2023, of January 17, in application of the mandate to review and update these plans every six years as established both in Directive 2007/60/EC and in Royal Decree 903/2010, of July 9, on the evaluation and management of flood risks, which transposes the Directive. The service to be contracted is aimed at complying with these plans through: the review and preparation of technical studies of a hydrological and hydraulic nature that allow the improvement of the estimation of frequencies and magnitudes of flooding events and the definition of flood zones; the generation of new flood zone cartography; the update of the existing hydrology in the Duero basin; the design and preparation of a new hydrological viewer; and the coordination between maps and dam discharge information located upstream of areas with potentially significant flood risk that are priorities.
