TENDER DESCRIPTION

The former Klostergang primary school is being converted into a cultural and educational center (KuBiZ) with a library, adult education center, archive, auditorium, and central foyer. A new shared main entrance leads into the centrally located foyer connecting both buildings. Large glass facades open this area to the plaza and create a bright, communicative focal point of the complex. The Holländer wing is being repurposed into a two-story library. The existing structure is largely preserved, the roof structure renewed, and the facade insulated and finished with a new clinker brick-veneer ETICS facade. Floor-to-ceiling windows create a direct connection to the outside. Reading and lounge areas are arranged along the facades, allowing views of the surrounding environment. A central interior staircase with an open space connects the ground floor and basement, optimizing spatial use. The building of the former Klostergang school will house rooms for the adult education center and the museum archive. The existing brick masonry will be cleaned and repaired.
