The TIETZ site brings together various facilities of the cultural operations of the City of Chemnitz under one roof. The cultural operations are tenants of the site; the landlord is PVG TIETZ mbH. The cultural operations include the Volkshochschule (adult education centre), Stadtbibliothek (city library), Museum für Naturkunde (museum of natural history), cultural management, the Administration/Cross-sectional Department, a room for the music school, and the Stefan-Heym-Forum. The Neue Sächsische Galerie is a subtenant of the City of Chemnitz. PVG TIETZ mbH operates the fire alarm receiving centre for the site and manages the retail units located on the ground floor.
