TENDER DESCRIPTION
The objective of this procurement procedure is the purchase and implementation of a test bench for the characterization of SOC stacks with 10 to at least 40 cells. The test setup must cover flexible operation in both directions: as a solid oxide electrolysis fuel cell and in H2O electrolysis operation. The focus is on evaluating the electrical performance capacity, particularly for the targeted 8 kW operation during water electrolysis. Characterization of the test specimens requires comprehensive data acquisition. In addition to standardized, multi-channel measurement of individual cell voltages and temperature monitoring, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) is used. Since this method has so far been underrepresented for electrolyte-supported solid oxide electrolysis fuel cells, the test bench must enable live measurements under real DC load without interrupting ongoing stack operation. From a process engineering perspective, exact control of the gas flows on the fuel and air sides is required, combined with precise humidification through direct steam injection. Compliance with stable atmospheric pressure conditions and the controlled application of the mechanical…
