TENDER DESCRIPTION
The E-library is a service produced jointly by the National Library and municipalities, from which you can borrow e-books, audiobooks and digital magazines. The E-library is used with the E-library application, which can be downloaded to a mobile device from an app store or accessed on a computer via a browser user interface. The E-library is developed in the E-library Unit of the National Library. The E-library https://github.com/topics/e-kirjasto is a fork of Lyrasiksen The Palace Project https://github.com/thepalaceproject. The compatibility of the codebase with Lyrasiksen has been a key part of our development process. We make use of the development work carried out by Lyrasiksen and use the same solutions as a basis for developing new features. As a rule, the features being developed at any given time are based on the corresponding work carried out on Lyrasiksen when such work is available. These features are expanded to fit the operating model of the E-library, including e.g. Suomi.fi login, passkey, the lending compensation and categorisation of materials.
