TENDER DESCRIPTION

Both the success and the benefits of social work in schools (SiS) have been demonstrated in the past through various funding instruments of the Wetterau district. Based on these experiences, the Wetterau district took new paths with the 2017/18 school year and began the nationwide expansion of SiS and has been completed since the 2020/21 school year. Under socio-planning criteria, 12 school associations were formed in the Wetterau district, which include at least one secondary school and the surrounding primary schools. With the current contract, the continuation of SiS in school associations 1-6 is to be regulated. As a public youth welfare provider, the Wetterau district supports the educational and teaching work of its schools by employing social work professionals and methods. This task must be carried out as part of the contract to be awarded by recognized independent providers of youth welfare in accordance with Section 75 of SGB VIII.
