TENDER DESCRIPTION

Both the success and the benefits of social work in schools (SiS) have been demonstrated in the past through various funding instruments of the Wetterau district. Based on these experiences, the Wetterau district took new paths with the school year 2017/18 and began the area-wide expansion of SiS and has been completed since the school year 2020/21. Using social planning criteria, 12 school associations were established in the Wetterau district, which include at least one secondary school and the surrounding primary schools. With the current contract, the continuation of SiS in school associations 1-6 is to be regulated. As a public youth welfare provider, the Wetterau district supports the educational and upbringing work of its schools by employing social-educational professionals and methods. This task must be carried out within the scope of the contract to be awarded by recognised independent youth welfare providers in accordance with § 75 SGB VIII.
