TENDER DESCRIPTION

HUS Group requests tenders for a spectrophotometer. The UV-Vis spectrophotometer to be procured is used in the HUS Diagnostics Centre’s specialized chemistry laboratory for qualitative and quantitative determinations in metabolism and porphyria analyses, as well as for checking the concentration of reference solutions for in-house methods. The spectrophotometer to be procured is used to determine patient samples. The device is also used in the Automation Laboratory to study cerebrospinal fluid samples by scanning the spectrum. In addition, the procurement includes maintenance agreements for the devices to be procured, as well as a workstation with all its software, which the equipment needs in order to operate for the intended purpose, installed at the workstation. The procurement also includes an option for two similar spectrophotometers during the years 2027–2030. Research currently performed with the device includes, for example, determining plasma hemoglobin by calculating a derivative from the spectrum, measuring cerebrospinal fluid bilirubin and oxyhemoglobin by spectral measurement, and other quantitative measurements of the concentration of compounds (pyruvate,…
