TENDER DESCRIPTION

In the city of Königswinter is the popular excursion mountain Drachenfels. Visitors usually arrive by ship on the Rhine to Königswinter and then go directly via Drachenfelsstraße and the railway level crossing (BÜ) "Drachenfelsstraße" up to Drachenfels or to the valley station of the Drachenfels Railway (mountain side). In the process, besides the federal road B 42, the railway line 2324 from Mülheim (Ruhr)-Speldorf to Niederlahnstein at rail km 99.127 and 99.212 is crossed via the railway level crossing (BÜ). Line 2324 is with over 300 train movements the most heavily trafficked railway line in Germany. Since spring 2026 a new railway overpass structure (as an underpass - EÜ) is being constructed as a replacement for the existing level crossing, preparatory channel construction measures must be carried out in advance for the planned mountain-side access structure (ramp and stair system). The current contract is for drainage / channel construction works. The channels to be constructed are located between the railway underpass and the access structure on the hillside between the tunnel exit and the streets Winzerstraße and Drachenfelsstraße.
