TENDER DESCRIPTION

In the city of Königswinter there is the popular excursion hill Drachenfels. Visitors mostly arrive by ship via the Rhine to Königswinter and then go directly along Drachenfelsstraße and the level crossing (LC) “Drachenfelsstraße” up to Drachenfels or to the lower station of the Drachenfels railway (on the hillside side). In doing so, in addition to the federal highway B 42, the railway line 2324 from Mülheim (Ruhr)-Speldorf to Niederlahnstein is crossed at rail km 99.127 and 99.212 via the level crossing (LC). With more than 300 train services, line 2324 is the most heavily used railway route in Germany. Since spring 2026, a new railway overpass structure (as an underpass – EÜ) is being built as a replacement for the existing level crossing (LC). For the planned uphill access structure (ramp and stair facility), the preparatory sewer construction measures must therefore be carried out in advance.
