TENDER DESCRIPTION

Description: The service covered by this contract comprises the collection, postage/franking as well as nationwide and international transport and delivery of all types of mail items (including addressed response mail) of the contracting authority (physical mail dispatch) up to an individual item weight of 2,000 grams. The conveyance of mail items in standard format (so-called standard letter items) forms the main subject matter of the postal services to be provided. Delivery service orders (post delivery mandates) are not the subject of the procedure. No further lots are being tendered. The lots 2 (physical mail delivery mandate) and 3 (physical parcels and package dispatch) stated in the original invitation to tender have already been awarded. The predominant part of physical mail (over 90 percent) goes to recipients in the postal code range 78XXX. The details of the services to be provided are set out in the specifications/service description (Annex 2 to this guide) and the Supplementary Contractual Terms (Annex 3 to this guide).
