TENDER DESCRIPTION

With 1,475 fully inpatient planned beds as well as 24 partially inpatient planned beds and over 4,000 employees, the Braunschweig Hospital, as a maximum care hospital at a university level, serves the Braunschweig region with approximately 1.2 million inhabitants. With 22 clinics, 10 independent clinical departments, and 7 institutes, almost the entire spectrum of medical fields is covered. More than 50,000 patients are treated as inpatients annually, and around 200,000 on an outpatient basis. Regarding building N (function building) as well as all buildings located on the property at the Salzdahlumer Straße site (see attached site plan, Annex 14), there are, according to the assessment of the City of Braunschweig, structural and technical fire protection risks that require measures beyond the existing operational structures. To compensate for these risks, the provision of a permanent in-house fire brigade is necessary, which within the scope of its duties ensures the fire protection organization on site and takes effective initial measures until the arrival of the professional fire brigade of Braunschweig.
