TENDER DESCRIPTION

With 1,475 fully inpatient planned beds as well as 24 partially inpatient planned beds and over 4,000 employees, the Braunschweig Hospital, as a hospital of maximum care at university level, serves the Braunschweig region with around 1.2 million inhabitants. With 22 clinics, 10 independent clinical departments and 7 institutes, almost the entire range of medical specialties is covered. More than 50,000 patients are treated as inpatients and around 200,000 on an outpatient basis annually. With regard to building N (functional building) as well as all buildings on the property at the Salzdahlumer Straße site (see attached site plan, Annex 14), the city of Braunschweig assesses structural and technical fire protection risks that require measures beyond the existing operational structures. To compensate for these risks, a constant in-house fire brigade is required, which in the course of its duties ensures the fire protection organization on site and takes effective initial measures until the professional fire brigade Braunschweig arrives.
