TENDER DESCRIPTION

Project Description: Since 2025, the district "Waldkolonie/Akazienweg" has been part of the federal-state program "Social Cohesion." This is an opportunity to improve the residential and living quality in a disadvantaged district with funds from the federal government, the state of Hesse, and the City of Science Darmstadt. Social and urban development challenges can be addressed and the community among residents strengthened. In the coming years, targeted measures will be implemented to make the living environment more attractive, improve social infrastructure, and sustainably strengthen the district. At the beginning of 2026, two planning offices were commissioned to develop an Integrated Urban Development Concept - abbreviated as ISEK. The work is carried out in coordination with the City of Science Darmstadt and with broad participation from residents in the neighborhood. The completed ISEK is to be presented to the city council for approval at the end of 2026. Thereafter, it will form the binding basis for development over the next years.
