TENDER DESCRIPTION
The general requirement of this contract will be appointing a contractor to carry out steeplejack surveys on an estimated 103 multi storey flats in the Leeds area. This is an annual safety inspection of all high rise (18m and over) blocks, inclusive of a roof survey report. The contract will include a requirement to provide a minor repair service to the same blocks outlined above, utilising the specialist access route, also included in this is hammer testing or penetration testing as appropriate, the removal of all loose material and the identification and recording of the condition of all parts of the external fabric of the buildings including: Roof coverings, parapets, copings, lightning conductors, railings, brickwork, concrete, render, timber, tiling, balustrades, windows, doors, walkways, soffits, rainwater pipes, paintwork etc .The contract will include a requirement to provide a minor repair service to the same blocks outlined above, utilising the specialist access route. It is proposed that these works will be for a period of 3 years with the option to extend for a further 12-month period.
