TENDER DESCRIPTION

Project background The Handwerkskammer der Pfalz plans to combine its Vocational Training and Technology Center in Ludwigshafen and the Vocational Training Center in Landau at a new site in Neustadt an der Weinstraße. The aim is to create a modern, sustainable and cost-effective supra-company training facility as a “flagship project” for skilled trades in the Palatinate. Construction project On a plot of approximately 31,000 m², a new building will be constructed with around 12,200 m² of usable floor area and approximately 8,000 m² of open space areas. Provision is made for 26 training units with 336 workplaces and learning places for various skilled trades. Total costs amount to approximately EUR 73.4 million gross (KG 200–700 excluding KG 600), plus equipment costs of approximately EUR 10–13 million. The project is financed from the Chamber of Skilled Crafts’ own funds as well as funding from the Federal Government and the State of Rhineland-Palatinate.
