TENDER DESCRIPTION

The acquisition of the supply of nurse-master systems, medication trolleys and their computerisation is considered necessary in order to expand the unit-dose medication distribution system of the HCUV in the clinical units and services that will be installed in Phase 1, with the aim of maintaining appropriate care services for the patients of this Department. The main benefits of the Unit-Dose Medication Distribution System (SDMDU) are to reduce medication errors, streamline the distribution of medicines, ensure compliance with medical prescriptions, support the correct administration of medicines and enhance the pharmacist’s role in the care team. The SDMDU requires equipment, among other things including nurse-master trolleys, used as a means of transporting medication from the Pharmacy Service to the inpatient units and vice versa, as well as medication dispensing trolleys in each of the inpatient units that have an SDMDU. The number depends on the number of inpatient units with unit doses, as well as on the capacity of each trolley.
