TENDER DESCRIPTION

The purpose of the project is to refurbish in 2027 the exterior envelope of the Suvilahti gasworks’ wastewater treatment building to the extent specified in the tender documents. The work covers the complete refurbishment of the entire exterior envelope, in which the rendering of the façades is completely removed and replaced as three-layer rendering, the windows are renovated, and the existing roof membrane and thermal insulation, including their structures, are removed up to the load-bearing concrete frame and replaced. To direct roof water, gutter legs and new downpipes are installed on the roof. Downpipes are added to the central areas of the long façades. At the locations of the added downpipes, new asphalt-inset rainwater catch basins are built and connected to the nearest existing rainwater and/or stormwater catch basins. The load-bearing steel structures of the process pipes running between building 9 and building 6 are renovated.
