TENDER DESCRIPTION

Due to the current and foreseeable future district heating supply situation, it has been strategically decided that the existing boiler at the heating plant location Koppstraße, Rupert-Mayer-Strasse 43, 81379 Munich, shall be upgraded for continued operation of at least 15 years and that a prompt renovation of the affected boiler pipes is to be carried out in 2027 in order to reduce the otherwise significant risk of a plant failure and to ensure the availability of the boiler plant for secure production for district heating supply. In the context of the planned boiler shutdown in June 2026, the concrete scope of the required partial renovation of the boiler was examined in detail and described in a tender specification. Due to current lead times for materials and the prefabrication of the required tube bundles, the lead time is currently estimated at 5-6 months. With this commission, a partial renovation of the boiler plant in the period from May to July 2027 is still possible, thus ensuring that Boiler 91 at the HW Koppstraße can be reliably available again for district heating supply starting from the 2027/2028 heating season.
