TENDER DESCRIPTION
Due to the current and anticipated future district heating supply situation, it has been strategically decided that the existing boiler at the heating plant location Koppstraße, Rupert-Mayer-Strasse 43, 81379 Munich, shall be refurbished for a continued operation of at least 15 years, and a timely renovation of the affected boiler tubes is to be carried out in 2027 in order to reduce the otherwise significant risk of a plant failure and to ensure the availability of the boiler system for safe generation of district heating supply. In the course of the planned boiler shutdown in June 2026, the exact scope of the required partial renovation of the boiler was reviewed in detail and described in a bill of quantities. Due to the current delivery times for the material and the prefabrication of the required tube bundles, the lead time is currently estimated at 5-6 months. With this order, a partial renovation of the boiler system is still possible in the period from May to July 2027, and thus Boiler 91 at HW Koppstrasse can be reliably available for district heating supply from the heating period 2027/2028 onward.
