TENDER DESCRIPTION

The service specification includes the site planning of outdoor facilities according to § 39 HOAI (2021) for the new construction of the Energy Center (EZ) and the underground facility (UTA) in the geothermal project Virginia Depot (VD). The EZ supplies district heating from renewable energies and is an essential milestone for the heat transition of LHM. The facility is to generate up to 110 MW/th. The project must comply with the funding regulations according to BEW (in the tender schedule and documentation). The EZ is supplied with geothermal heat via a thermal water pipeline (TWT) approximately 350 m long from the UTA located to the south (mostly within construction area VE 1). The floor area of the EZ is approx. +3,300 m2, the wall height approx. 24 m; the plot size VE 1 (for the EZ) is approx. 8,300 m2; the plot size for the UTA (VE 2) is approx. 7,000 m2. To the north and west, the EZ’s workshop yard including the main gate, parking spaces, building access, and possibly an underground coolant tank as well as part of the replacement plantings (17 trees according to the development plan) are to be planned.
