TENDER DESCRIPTION

In 2025, the Stadtwerke Göppingen submitted the transformation plan in accordance with BEW Module 1 to the funding authority BAFA. It already describes the first package of measures. On the generation side, the core element of the transformation is the use of unavoidable waste heat from thermal waste disposal. The heat is to be distributed to the existing district heating areas via a large heat transport pipeline (“Backbone”). If applicable, further sales potential along the route will be developed. A connection for a district heating control centre or heat transfer station (designation hereinafter as heat transfer station) is to be provided on the heat transport pipeline (on the primary side; designation hereinafter also as the MHKW network). This makes it possible that, on the secondary side of the heat transfer station, via a transport network, further heat customers can be supplied. The heat transfer station will be built in several expansion stages in line with the expansion of the transport network. In the final configuration, a heat output of up to 55.8 MWth will be transferred.
