At present, nuclear medicine in Bonn holds a leading position nationally and internationally. With the fundamental adaptation of the existing building stock, an optimum process sequence can be achieved by linking the function areas that are already in place. The nuclear lab can thereby ensure the ongoing supply of the most modern radioactively labelled substances for the diagnosis and therapy of patients. In addition, the new hot cell laboratory enables the development and use of new radioactively labelled medicinal products for treatment. Module a) is used for the automated production of radioactively labelled medicinal products for nuclear medicine diagnosis and therapy. The system carries out the individual production steps in a closed system independently and thereby contributes to consistently high production quality as well as to protecting personnel from radioactive radiation. The system enables reproducible production of established standard radiopharmaceuticals and forms a central component of routine patient care as well as the development of new applications.
