TENDER DESCRIPTION

Region Värmland operates, on its own, a service line intended for patient transport between Karlstad and Uppsala, with a daily round trip every weekday. The service line buses are comfort buses and accommodate both seated and lying passengers, as well as wheelchair users. The line is also used for national travel assistance (riksfärdtjänst) trips for persons residing in Värmland. The line runs according to a timetable. The Region is responsible for ensuring taxi connections to the service line when the agreements with taxi companies expire. The line departs from Karlstad and has stops in Örebro, Västerås and Enköping before it goes towards Uppsala. The taxi connections take place primarily to/from hospitals in Stockholm and to/from Västerås, Enköping or Uppsala, but other travel routes may occur within the area (NUTS code SE 1 Eastern Sweden). Coordinated transport occurs with multiple passengers in the vehicle.
