TENDER DESCRIPTION

The federally owned chancery of the German Embassy in Quito (Ecuador) is located in the building complex “Conjunto Citiplaza” (consisting of three buildings: Citibank, Sheraton Hotel and office tower) in the central district and business area of La Carolina (Edificio Citiplaza, Av. Nacio-nes Unidas E10-44 y República El Salvador). The Citiplaza building was occupied in 1998; it had been constructed between 1996 and 1998. Here, the Federal Republic of Germany used the same RK/visa office in the 12th floor jointly with the United Kingdom until 2016. Later, Germany purchased this area and used it exclusively for the RK/visa office of the German Embassy. Quito, the capital of Ecuador, lies 20 kilometres south of the Equator in a 2,850 m-high basin in the Andes and is the highest-lying capital in the world. With around 2.7 million inhabitants, it is the largest city in the country. It is also the capital of the eponymous canton and the province of Pichincha.
