TENDER DESCRIPTION

The subject of procurement comprises liquid culture media for blood cultures that are used for Bactec instruments for the needs of the Microbiology and Parasitology Service of the Institute of Public Health Zadar. The description of the subject of procurement is set out in Annex I and Annex II of this procurement procedure. The Bactec instruments are owned by the Institute, which is why compatibility of the vials intended for use on these instruments is required. The method on these instruments is accredited by the HAA (Croatian Accreditation Agency) to the standard HRN EN ISO 15189:2022, Medical laboratories – Requirements for quality and competence, under the name “Isolation of bacteria from blood (Blood culture) – automated Bactec instrument system”, and therefore it is necessary that in the event of any modifications, validation and/or extensive verification of the method be carried out.
