TENDER DESCRIPTION
The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland (later refers also as “the Ministry” or “Contracting Authority”) invites the tenderers to submit their tender regarding Terrace renovation project of the Nordic Pavilion in Venice, Italy. The Nordic Pavilion in Venice is a concrete structure building jointly owned by Finland, Norway and Sweden and designed by the Norwegian architect Sverre Fehn. The building is originally from the 1960s (1962). The procurement of the terrace renovation of the Nordic Pavilion includes fixing the infiltration issues of the storage spaces on the back of the building. This will mainly include fixing the waterproofing on the terrace area and stairs, changing the tiling on the same area, removing the tiles on top of the wall, and fixing the concrete wall top. The Contracting Authority has commissioned the design phase of the terrace project from an external consultant. The design documents have been prepared and finalized. For the avoidance of doubt, the present procurement concerns the execution of the works only, and does not include design responsibility.
