Päijät-Häme wellbeing services county procures the production of a health counselling point for drug users for an indefinite-term contract period. Estimated start of the contract period: 1.1.2027. The purpose of the health counselling point is to provide services for people who use drugs intravenously. The aim of the activities is to create contacts with people who use drugs, prevent and reduce health harms related to drug use, support drug users’ taking responsibility for their own life and health, and support the emergence of clients’ treatment motivation while lowering the threshold for seeking treatment. The counselling point operates on a low-threshold principle, under which clients can visit the counselling point during regular opening hours under a pseudonym, without booking an appointment, regardless of their municipality of residence, and also while intoxicated.
