Fördern & Wohnen (F&W) provides homeless and destitute people with a roof over their heads and helps them get back on their feet. Refugees also find temporary accommodation here. For people who find it particularly difficult on the housing market, F&W provides apartments. People with disabilities or mental illnesses live with F&W and experience participation/inclusion. F&W Fördern & Wohnen AöR is a subsidiary of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. With around 2,300 employees, it is there for people at more than 200 locations. In Hamburg, Oldesloer Str. 166, a former hotel building, which became the property of F&W in 2023, is to be converted/refurbished.
