The core scope of work for this tender, for the "Tierhaltung Ersteinrichtung - Metabolic Cages" (Animal Husbandry Initial Setup - Metabolic Cages) project at the CARDDIAB research building of Universitätsklinikum Düsseldorf, includes the supply and installation of specialized equipment and comprehensive services.

Key deliverables and services include:

• Equipment Supply:
• Eight (8) units of high-resolution phenotyping systems for indirect calorimetry for mice (TH-MK-M).
• One (1) IVC cage rack for metabolic cages (TH-RI-M-12).
• One (1) exhaust air IVC system (max).
• One (1) supply air IVC system (max).
• One (1) Desktop PC for data acquisition and storage.
• Service Contract (DILV-MC Dienstleistungsvertrag für Metabolic Cages):
• Initial installation, including at least 3 hours of application training.
• An additional 2 hours of system maintenance training.
• 3 hours of data analysis training.
• Documentation and Planning: The contractor is responsible for creating a comprehensive technical inventory documentation based on approved workshop and assembly plans, latest execution plans, and architect's working plans. This documentation must be submitted in triplicate (paper) and one digital copy, and must include:
• Table of contents and updated planning documents.
• Acceptance protocol, occupancy plans, and system/line schematics (e.g., pressure reducers, vacuum).
• Cable lists, wiring, terminal, and gas monitoring diagrams.
• Maintenance documents (manufacturer specifications, spare parts lists), operating instructions, device lists, manuals, and function descriptions.
• Route plans (1:50) and views (1:20).
• Proof of VDE shutdown conditions, CE conformity declarations, measurement, pressure, and test protocols.
• User confirmations for instruction and documentation handover.
• System description with safety/monitoring devices, operating/maintenance instructions, manufacturer documents, and documents compliant with the Industrial Safety Ordinance.
• Legally binding construction acceptance, safety data sheets, instruction protocols, warranty details, and fire protection certificates.
• Cable pull lists, fault messages, spare parts lists, EC conformity certificates, specialist contractor certificates, and switch cabinet documents for the vacuum system.
• Acceptance protocols for vacuum system pressure vessels and room lists with tapping points and gas types.
• Detailed calculations (basis, dimensioning, balance) and various test and measurement protocols (TRGI, gas type, VDE, expert electrical acceptance).
• Drawings and plans (M 1:50) including installation plans, floor plans, shaft representations, detail drawings, line diagrams, system schematics, and switch diagrams.
• Data carriers in PDF and DWG formats for all relevant plans.
• All documentation must be in German, CAD-generated, and submitted as a complete, auditable set four weeks prior to acceptance.
• Coordination: The contractor is obligated to coordinate their work with other trades involved in the construction, such as shell construction, electrical engineering, heating, ventilation, and sanitary.
• Assembly Documentation: Creation of all necessary assembly documents, including calculations, to ensure smooth installation and proper operation of the systems, including for purchased parts and subcontractor services.
