TENDER DESCRIPTION

Helsinki City Transport (HKL) (Pääkaupunkiseudun kaupunkiliikenne Oy assists in carrying out the procurement) purchases, as a service, full overhauls of Tka7 heavy rail maintenance vehicles. The subject of the full overhaul to be procured is one (1) Tka7 model heavy rail maintenance vehicle. In addition, as an option, full overhauls are procured for three (3) similar Tka7 heavy rail maintenance vehicles; the purchase/option exercise for the overhauls of each of the three vehicles is decided separately. The condition of the heavy rail maintenance vehicles is largely original, except possibly for some minor changes. The heavy rail maintenance vehicles were manufactured at VR’s workshops in the years 1980–87. As an option, the installation of a pump intended for lubricating in slow running of the axle-driven device is also procured for the heavy rail maintenance vehicles. After the full overhauls, all four heavy rail maintenance vehicles must be as consistent as possible from the users’ point of view, i.e. the switches and control devices must be in the same locations, if the three full overhauls procured as options are ordered.
