TENDER DESCRIPTION

The objective of the project is the development of a multifunctional, future-proof urban quarter that offers a mix of private and public uses. The concept for use focuses on public facilities as well as private and commercial uses. The public facilities/uses include a modern city media library as a “third place”, a citizens’ office, a citizens’ hall, and event rooms that can be used flexibly. The city media library is intended to go far beyond the classic function of a library and serve as a multifunctional meeting point for education, culture and social interaction. The citizens’ office bundles central administrative services and enables barrier-free access to municipal services. The citizens’ hall and event rooms are designed for cultural, social and educational events and are intended to make it possible to host a wide range of formats, e.g. concerts, theatre performances, exhibitions, workshops and conferences. The residential offering is specifically targeted at different groups: compact apartments for young professionals, spacious family apartments and senior-appropriate, barrier-free apartments with service-oriented options.
