TENDER DESCRIPTION
The City of Pottenstein plans the renovation of the main road "Bayreuther Berg" in Pottenstein (district Pottenstein, plot no. 1191). The road is under the city's road maintenance responsibility and represents the most important internal traffic connection: It connects the valley area of Pottenstein - where the federal road B470 also runs - with the northern so-called "upper zone", in which, among others, a new development area and the school are located. Traffic load was determined to be approximately 60 to 80 vehicles per hour. The road begins in the "valley zone" area at the intersection with Fischergasse, Hollergasse and Franz-Wittmann-Gasse and ends in the "upper zone" at the branching of Jugendherbergstraße. The total length is 452 meters. Due to a height difference of 56 meters (from 367 m to 423 m above sea level), an average gradient of about 12.4% results. The existing road alignment is demanding, and accessibility, especially for larger vehicles, is difficult - in particular, the simultaneous passing of several trucks uphill is currently not possible.
