TENDER DESCRIPTION

A. As part of a joint project with LMU, the majority of the diagnostic units (clinical-theoretical and clinical medicine) are to be brought together in a diagnostic building in order to achieve synergy effects in research and patient care and to strengthen cooperation between the university hospital and LMU. In the diagnostic building, the university hospital will house, on its side, the Institute for Laboratory Medicine, the Department for Transfusion Medicine, Cell Therapies and Haemostasis, as well as the Institute of Human Genetics with the areas for research, teaching and patient care. In addition, the university hospital’s areas will be complemented by flexible laboratory spaces, which are intended both to mitigate the existing research space deficit and to be made available as core facilities of the entire Faculty of Medicine. On LMU’s side, the complete diagnostics as well as parts of the research of the Max von Pettenkofer Institute in the building will be located there.
