TENDER DESCRIPTION

The school authority of the Diocese of Augsburg, a church foundation under public law, is tendering the specialist planning for structural engineering (service specification § 51 HOAI) for the general renovation and partial replacement new construction of the Rhabanus-Maurus-Gymnasium in St. Ottilien in phases starting from service phase 2. The Rhabanus-Maurus-Gymnasium, currently with over 680 pupils and 60 teachers, is housed today in a school building from the 1960s, which was extended in the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. The current school building is not barrier-free and exhibits significant functional deficiencies as well as structural/physical building defects. In the so-called Day Care Home (former St. Katharina Monastery), rooms are currently used for all-day supervision of the pupils. The former St. Katharina Monastery has meanwhile been placed under monument protection as an individual monument. After thorough variant studies, it is now planned to general renovate the former St. Katharina Monastery and use it for school purposes in the future.
